MISSION

We are committed to driving social change through our social enterprise model, which prioritizes keeping dollars within communities. By combating extractive economic practices, we strive to build people-centered, interconnected local economies that empower individuals and foster sustainable growth.

Building interconnected, self-sustaining local communities involves fostering collaboration, resilience, and sustainability. It entails creating networks of support, promoting economic independence, and prioritizing local resources. By nurturing a sense of belonging and shared responsibility, these communities can thrive and adapt to challenges effectively, ensuring their long-term vitality and well-being.

Founding Principles

Understanding systems of Power.

Repair, Rebuild, Revitalize

Housing is a human right and exploiting this essential need for profit goes against the principle of community.

Community Enterprises

Worker Owned Enterprises, also known as Co-ops, are business model in which the people who do the work, also own the company, and decide what to do with the profits. This is entirely different than the capitalist model we all suffer under, where the workers get a few dollars per hour of work and the owner of the company receives and controls all of the profits.

CMPAS has helped create numerous worker owned businesses in a variety of fields. The profits from these enterprises are invested directly back into the communities of the workers.
